Cardinals activate Matt Adams from DL, option Oscar Taveras to AAA

 ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- The Cardinals announced they activated Matt Adams from the 15-day disabled list prior to Friday's series opener with the Washington Nationals.

Outfielder and top prospect Oscar Taveras was optioned to Triple-A Memphis.

Adams completed a four game rehab stint in Memphis last week, going 3-15 with two RBIs.
