From Ed Macauley and Jo Jo White to more current players like David Lee, Larry Hughes and Bradley Beal, St. Louis has a long history of producing some elite basketball talent.

Jordan Barnett, a rising senior at CBC, looks to continue that trend.

At 6-feet-7, forward Barnett did not want to wait any longer. This past week he announced he will attend college in the fall of 2014 at the University of Texas.

Barnett led the Cadets in scoring each of the last two years, averaging 17 points per game as a junior. He is also ranked by ESPN as the 86th best player in his whole class.  Yet he believes with more work, there’s no telling how high he can go.

Click the video above to hear more about his decision while recently sitting down with News 4 Sports’ Brian Feldman.
