Blues release training camp schedule and roster

Two days after the NHL lifted its 113-day lockout, several St. Louis Blues players gathered for an informal skatearound at St. Louis Mills. The NHL is looking at the weekend of Jan. 11 – 13 for teams to start training camps. The league has already told teams they should be ready for the start of the regular season by Jan. 19.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. ( -- The St. Louis Blues have released their training camp roster and schedule.

According to the release, training camp is set to begin at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 13 at the Scottrade Center, with doors opening at 10:30 a.m.

The Blues will hold a question and answer session with fans at 1:30 p.m. They will also offer deals on concessions, including a 20 percent discount on merchandise from the team store.

The Blues are scheduled to practice Sunday to Friday at various times, and will open the season the next Saturday against the Detroit Red WIngs at Scottrade. The release states the Blues will scrimmage on Tuesday and Thursday.

The Blues' training camp roster will include 25 players (15 forwards, eight defensemen and two goalies).

All practices are held at the Scottrade Center, and are open to the public.
