Blues re-sign goalie Jake Allen to two-year contract

(HockeyStL) – The Blues announced Thursday they have re-signed goaltender Jake Allen to a two year contract.

The team has not released the financial details of the deal. Allen split his time last season with the Blues and the club’s now-former minor league affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen.  With the Blues, Allen appeared in 15 games, compiling a 9-4-0 record with a 2.46 goals against average, and a save percentage of .905. Allen’s performance ranked him first among NHL rookies in wins and goals-against average, while placing him second in save percentage.

Allen played appeared in 35 games for the Rivermen going 13-19-2, with a 2.89 goals-against average, and save percentage at .904.
