(HockeyStL) -- The St. Louis Blues held their first scrimmage of the 2013 training camp in front of an estimated crowd of 8,000 fans Tuesday night.
The scrimmage consisted of two 25-minute periods with a running clock for both and six two-minute power plays for the losing team at the time. The teams, dubbed Team White and Team Blue, ended each period with a shootout of five players from each team. The team that won each shootout was rewarded with a goal.
The teams played to a 4-4 tie when it was over.
Team Blue consisted of David Perron, David Backes, T.J. Oshie, Ryan Reaves, Vladimir Sobotka, Matt D’Agostini, Chris Porter, Scott Nichol, Jamie Langenbrunner, Kris Russell, Alex Pietrangelo, Jeff Woywitka, Taylor Chorney, Mark Cundari, Colin White and Brian Elliott.
Team White included Andy McDonald, Alex Steen, Vladimir Tarasenko, Jaden Schwartz, Patrik Berglund, Chris Stewart, Philip McRae, Evgeny Grachev, Andrew Murray, Barret Jackman, Kevin Shattenkirk, Ian Cole, Roman Polak, Cade Fairchild and Jaroslav Halak.
Goals scored during the two 25-minute periods were scored by Cundari, McDonald, Stewart and Schwartz. Porter, Langenbrunner, Steen, Schwartz, Shattenkirk and Berglund each had an assist in the scrimmage.
McDonald buried the only goal in the first shootout and Perron, Steen, Stewart, Backes scored in the final shootout. Tarasenko missed on both of his shootout attempts.
