(HockeyStL) -- St. Louis Blues forward Alex Steen has been activated from the injured reserve after missing eight games due to an upper-body injury.
The Blues have not indicated whether Steen will play against the Phoenix Coyotes on Thursday night, but his activation from the injured reserve is an indication that he could likely play.
The 29-year-old forward has posted 16 points (four goals, 12 assists) in 18 games played this season and is the only member of the team to have a shot in each game played in. The Blues went 4-4-0 during his absence.
As a result, the Blues have assigned Andrew Murray to the AHL-affiliate Peoria Rivermen. The 31-year-old played in one game and recorded two shots for the Blues.
