(HockeySTL) -- Blues forward Andy McDonald has been placed on injured reserve after being injured during Tuesday's practice, general manager Doug Armstrong announced.
Armstrong says McDonald is listed as week-to-week after suffering a left knee injury during the practice at St. Louis Mills.
Forward Alex Steen is also currently out with an upper body injury after suffering an injury during the same practice. He is listed as day-to-day.
The injuries happened on back-to-back drills during the late stages of practice Tuesday.
McDonald was helped off the ice while putting no weight on his leg after getting tangled with Vladimir Sobotka.
Steen, who is the only Blues player to have a shot in each game, appeared to be shaken up after losing his helmet during a battle near the net.
McDonald, 35, has appeared in all 18 of the Blues’ games this season, tallying 11 points on three goals and eight assists.
Steen leads the team with 16 points, including four goals and 12 assists.
