(BaseballStL) -- A tip of the hat to Cardinals fan Mike Sizemore, a student at Santa Clara University in California.
According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Brewers’ outfielder and apparent San Jose Sharks fan Nyjer Morgan showed up to skate with the hockey team during practice this week. Morgan reportedly laced up the skates as a young man before running his mouth and misplaying routine fly balls as a pro baseball player.
Of all the fans that showed up at practice, Mr. Sizemore, a native of St. Louis, was there giving Morgan the business while wearing a Cardinals World Series shirt under his St. Louis jersey and holding a sign that reportedly read, “@TPlush Good to see you’re tryin’ hockey. Baseball didn’t work out.”
So from all of us here at BaseballStL … Mike Sizemore we salute you for going the extra mile to take the time and effort to let Morgan know Cardinals fans never - ever - forget.
