FERGUSON, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Residents who live in the midst of the protests have been worried about their homes catching fire due to flares, while others have been worried about tear gas in the air.

Residents like Bianca Huff who live in the Canfield Green apartment complex where Michael Brown, Jr. was killed feel that the demonstrations need to end. Huff has a 3-year-old son who is asking a lot of questions.

Fannie Powell Davis, who is a veteran thought there as a war going on outside. Davis lives a few yards away from where enraged protesters burned a QuickTrip convenient store Sunday night. Wednesday night, officers set off flares and tear gas in the area.

Neighbors told News 4 protesters have been running across their yards. Closed roads make it difficult to go home. Even though the marches Thursday were peaceful, residents said they were still noisy.
