ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A man from the Canfield Green Apartments is being called an unsung hero in Ferguson after he stood up to a group of looters, and made them stop what they were doing.
“I think it is difficult to do because the young man was going against the thousands,” said Charlesvetta Stokes, a Ferguson resident. Stokes saw the viral video showing the young man stopping the looting.
The owners of Sam’s Market in Ferguson are too afraid to restock their shelves because they’ve been broken into and looted twice.
News 4 cameras were at Sam’s Market Friday while volunteers worked to clean up the store after a second round of looting, costing them thousands of dollars. The owners would not go on camera but say the man in the video is a loyal customer.
