ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – The family of Michael Brown spoke to News 4 about the type of person Michael was.
Mike Brown Sr. said the world was just getting to know his son, a child he raised alongside Michael’s mother Leslie McSpadden. Brown, Jr was killed only two days before he was going to start attending classes at Vatterott College.
“It was rough,” Brown, Sr. said referring to his son’s journey to college. “His mother and I got through it.”
Both of Brown’s parents are troubled by the looting that has occurred after Brown’s death. They are concerned that Michael has been forgotten.
“The actions that are going on now are pushing my son out of the picture. It’s too much negativity that’s going on right now. I need y’all support, I need the world’s support,” Brown, Sr said.
