(KMOV.com) – A town hall meeting was held at St. Paul AME church on Friday to discuss the situation in Ferguson.

The town hall meeting, sponsored by the Justice for Michael Brown Leadership Coalition, asked community members to share specific incidents they’ve had with local police, however many attendees only wanted answers about the investigation into the shooting of Michael Brown.

However, representatives with the US Department of Justice said they are not in a role that can provide that kind of information.

"We are here to assist," said Rita Valenciano, a community relations service representative for the Department of Justice.

Dr. Raphael G. Warnock from Martin Luther King Jr’s home church in Atlanta also attended the meeting.

Community leaders called the event an interfaith rally for justice and peace.
