(KMOV.com) – Some are pushing for a concert that is set to take place at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater Tuesday night to be canceled.

Employees of the concert venue said many have called, and are concerned after the unrest that has occurred in Ferguson. Wiz Khalifa is scheduled to perform.

“I think we need to let law enforcement focus on where it needs to be, controlling a crowd and have other crowds. I’d feel the same way if this was a cancer job or some other event that has major public people coming to it,” a woman who did not want to be identified said.

One mother News 4 talked with said her teenage son is going to the concert with some friends but she is trying to talk him out of it.

Police told News 4 they are adding precautions and feel comfortable with security measures they are putting in place.

“We are aware of the situation and we are taking all the necessary precautions,” a spokesman for the amphitheater said.
