FERGUSON, Mo. (KMOV.com) – The Ferguson Police Department is getting help when it comes to installing body cameras for their police officers.
The lack of cameras has been a point of criticism for the police department in the Michael Brown investigation. The cameras were purchased using federal grant money.
A company called Digital Ally is in Ferguson to assist the police department in setting up the cameras.
Greg Hallgrimson, the chief of the Greenwood, Missouri Police Department, is also assisting with installing the cameras. Greenwood, which is just outside of Kansas City, was the first police department in the state to get body cameras for its officers.
