Set sprinklers to water the lawn or garden only - not the street or sidewalk.
Use the microwave to cook small meals. (It uses less power than an oven.)
Purchase "Green Power" for your home's electricity. (Contact your power supplier to see where and if it is available.)
Scrape, rather than rinse, dishes before loading into the dishwasher; wash only full loads.
Cut back on air conditioning and heating use if you can.
Turn off appliances and lights when you leave the room.
With the mention of eco-friendly, leopard and giraffe print separates don't come to mind. They do, however, manage to fit seamlessly into avant- garde fashion designer Rogan Gregory's just-released beach safari wardrobe collection for Target.
Mr. Gregory, a New York City- based designer, launched a namesake collection in 2001 and later established eco-conscious label Loomstate, a high-end clothing line made solely from organic cottons.
In 2007, he won the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund award for his work.
For Target's Go International collection, a program the company implemented to feature exclusive lines by prominent designers, Mr. Gregory created his line with a green theme in mind. Every piece in Rogan for Target, available now through June 28, is 100 percent certified organic cotton, echoing his enviro-stylish voice.
