A Hollister teenager drowned while swimming with her family over the July Fourth weekend.

The Missouri Water Patrol says 16-year-old Ashley Gustafson was swimming Sunday afternoon in Table Rock Lake near Branson when her mother noticed she was missing. Her brother found her on the bottom of the lake.

She was taken to St. John's Hospital in Springfield, where she was pronounced dead Monday morning.
