A tornado that swept a 13-mile-long swath across southern Illinois' St. Clair County caused $1 million worth of damage.
The St. Clair County Emergency Management Agency said Tuesday that about 100 buildings were damaged, 85 in O'Fallon and Shiloh and 15 in Mascoutah (muh-SKOO'-tuh). The storm Monday night also knocked out power to more than 14,600 Ameren customers at its peak.
Power has been restored to all but about 130 customers. The storms also produced damaging straight-line winds that damaged several homes, uprooted trees and toppled power lines.
Emergency management officials say two minor storm-related injuries were reported in DuQuoin, in Perry County.
Meteorologists say the tornado first touched down near O'Fallon, then traveled southeast.
