A 41-year-old southeast Missouri man has died after crashing his dune buggy.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says William Jones of Steele drove the dune buggy off the right side of a Pemiscot County road Wednesday afternoon. The vehicle then struck a telephone pole.

Jones was taken to a hospital in Blytheville, Ark., where he was pronounced dead.
