Recent rains are causing some Missouri rivers to rise.
The Meramec is expected to crest at Valley Park in St. Louis County nearly 9 feet above flood stage on Tuesday. Several roads are flooded, but unless conditions worsen, the water should not reach Interstate 44 as it did during flooding last year.
Flooding on the Meramec is also occurring at towns like Eureka, Pacific and Arnold.
The Big River at Byrnesville has already crested about 7 feet above flood stage.
The Mississippi is expected to reach 6 feet above flood stage at Cape Girardeau on Tuesday, but no major problems are expected.
