Several survivors of a bus crash that killed gospel singer-songwriter Joyce "Dottie" Rambo have filed a lawsuit.
The Springfield News Leader is reporting that Rambo's manager, Larry Ferguson, as well as his wife and two children, filed the suit earlier this month in Lawrence County Circuit Court.
They were among the people injured in May 2008 when the bus ran off Interstate 44 about two miles east of Mount Vernon. Rambo, 74, of Nashville, Tenn., had been headed to a Mother's Day performance in Texas.
The lawsuit accuses the coach company that owned the bus and its driver of negligence. Rambo's daughter, Reba Rambo-McGuire, also is named because she allegedly hired the bus coach company.
The suit indicates "damages will be in excess of $25,000."
