Flooding continues to cause problems for two popular southeast Missouri lakes.
Officials at Clearwater Lake and Wappapello Lake both say the number of guests for March was down about 90 percent compared to 2007. And some problems persist.
At Clearwater Lake, water levels are still high and will need to fall another 50 feet before all facilities can be used. Park areas at the lake are open, but portions are under water. About 60 of 420 campsites remain under water.
At Wappapello Lake, only about 100 guests registered last month, compared to 1,000 in March 2007. Rangers say Wappapello Lake's level will need to fall another 20 feet to clear public use areas.
