Authorities in southern Illinois are awaiting a coroner's findings in the death of a 17-year-old boy during a house party.
Prosecutors in Clinton County have charged 17-year-old Kyle Loubier of New Baden with felony battery for allegedly hitting Morgan Westerman at the Saturday night party at Westerman's New Memphis home.
Loubier is free on bond and hasn't been charged in Loubier's death.
Investigators are waiting on a coroner's report on what specifically killed Westerman. Lab results from a blood test for any alcohol and drugs in his system are expected to take weeks.
Services for Westerman will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.
