St. Louis (KMOV) – Sauce Magazine’s Catherine Neville take us to the Grove for this week’s Sauce on the Street.

At Agave in the Grove, the Mexican fare is given upscale, modern preparation. While you peruse the menu, be sure to check out its huge tequila selection. Ask the staff to pair one with your meal or pick a flight so you can try a range of flavors.

As far as the food goes, try the stuffed poblano. Crusted with blue corn, the filling of goat cheese and mushrooms has a slightly bitter taste that goes perfectly with the herbal pepper. Another favorite is the quesadilla rustica. Its corn masa shell is crisp, the cheese filling hot and deliciously gooey.

You'll find a lot of seafood on the menu, and the red snapper is a good choice. But if you're looking for something out of the ordinary, try the camarone al yucatan, where plump shrimp are sauteed with sundried tomatoes and fresh figs.

And if you like your desserts incredibly rich and decadent, Agave's flan is for you.
