St. Louis (KMOV) – Sauce Magazine's Catherine Neville shows you a way to spice up your weekend. She shows us the secrets to authentic flavors from south of the border in this week's Sauce on the Street.
At Amigo's Cantina in Kirkwood, owner Roberto Trevino wants customers to feel like they've taken a step into a Mexican cantina. The food here is fresh and full of flavor and even though the food is traditional, it's different enough to keep diners intrigued.
You can get family favorites like steak fajitas, but if you're looking for something with a kick, try the mojo shrimp.
And the tacos at Amigos are served on the more traditional corn tortillas, which add a nutty, sweet flavor you won't find in flour tortillas.
Pair any dish with a tequila mojito or a margarita with fresh lime juice and you will feel like you're south of the border.
