St. Louis (KMOV) – What does it take to create a true Chicago style hot dog?

Sauce Magazine's Catherine Neville finds out at a new place in town in this week's Sauce on the Street.

Pam's Chicago Style Dogs and More in the East Loop does it right from the steamed poppy seed bun to the crisp, salty pickle and spicy sport peppers.

Another lunch-in-a-bun that's a must try is the Maxwell Street Polish Sausage where sautéed onions and mustard spice up the savory sausage.

The menu at Pam’s is wide-ranging and they even serve gyros, with gyro meat freshly shaved off the spit.

But perhaps the most surprising menu item here is the fried Twinkie.

Now you don't have to wait for a street fair to take a bite of this sweet, crunchy, gooey confection.
