Old fashioned meets thoroughly modern at Winslow’s Home, a new general store and neighborhood cafe in University City.

Browse the many "I didn't know I needed that" items on the store's shelves, do a bit of grocery shopping, and be sure to get something to eat, whether it's for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Winslow's does have a set menu but look for daily specials to pop up that take advantage of whatever's fresh in the store. At lunch, try the copa sandwich.

Dinner can be eaten at the store, but Winslow’s closes at 7:00 p.m., so feel free to take these prepared dishes home to your family.

Entrees are available after 4:00 p.m. and again, there are set home-style dishes available each day. On Thursday, it's beer-braised brisket.

There is also a pastry chef on hand. So every time you stop into Winslow’s, you can expect to be pleasantly surprised by what Chef Ben or his staff is preparing for you that day.
