(KMOV) - This holiday season why not celebrate with a traditional Italian cake?

You'll find a colorful assortment of such pastries at one of the area's oldest bakeries in St. Charles.

The Rosciglione family has been baking traditional Sicilian pastries here in St. Louis since 1900. Now, true Italian cookies aren't super sweet, they're crunchy, somewhat savory delicacies that are hard to stop eating.

KMOV

The cookie and pastry selection at Rosciglione Bakery is huge and cookie flavors range from spiced chocolate to anise.

The bakery offers specialties like their chocolate chip-studded Cannolli, but there are some goodies that aren't in the cases.

The bakery makes a number of special order cakes, like the Sicilian Cassatha, which is filled with ricotta cheese, fruits, nuts and chocolate.

It's not all sweet however at Rosciglione Bakery.

They offer a wide range of pastas, sauces, olive salad and other Italian treats.
