(KMOV) - Are you in the mood for some spice this weekend?

In South St. Louis there is a restaurant called KoKo that combines Pan-Latin and Creole to create for very unique dishes.

When creating KoKo’s menu, Chef Dana Holland took inspiration from South America, the Caribbean and home cooking.

One of his most popular creations is Zydeco Fries, which are made from grits and fried in transfat free oil and served with green tomato ketchup.

For the real traditionalist try their twist on gravy.

Another hit on the appetizer menu is the Creole Corn Torta, which is corn pancakes layered with a roasted garlic goat cheese and caramelized onions.

The finished product is topped with garlic shrimp and a gazpacho salsa.

For a hearty appetite or if you're in the mood to share, try the Sancocho which is a coconut milk based stew with fresh fish and vegetables.

The Asopao Stew is a Puerto Rican influenced stew that combines chicken, chorizo, tomatoes, olives and capers and is served in a cast iron pot.
