(KMOV) -- When you step up to the counter of the London Tea Room, you may find your selections a little overwhelming.

But owner Anna Myers and her staff are ready to help guide you in the right direction.

My favorite is the lapsang souchong which is a smoky robust tea, also a favorite of Winston Churchill.

Order your tea with the "cream tea" service which is served with two scones, jam and Devonshire cream.

Make sure to check out their menu, too.

Pastry chef Allyson Lake not only prepares delectable pastries every morning, but also designed a menu to offer a little something for everyone.

To keep with the European theme, try the croque monsieur.

For lighter fare try the London Tea Room chopped salad. It includes chopped beets, caramelized onions, green beans and goat cheese. It's served on top of mixed greens and garnished with crushed walnuts and gluten free balsamic vinaigrette.

The English Tea Room also has a variety of quick snacks for those of you looking for a small bite to eat.
