(KMOV) -- Should the food go with the wine or the wine go with the food?

There's a restaurant in Maplewood that truly believes it's the wine that should be the star.

In Italy, the word enoteca refers to a place where one can find simple foods to accompany wine.

It's a word Acero owner Jim Fiala takes seriously.

Each item on the menu is designed to be paired with specific wines.

The cheeses and sausages are chosen from some of the finest around the nation.

Among the featured items is an egg and spinach ravioli where the egg yolk oozes like silk when cut.

For a heartier appetite try the porkcetta served on polenta.

If you're looking for a little romance with your dinner, try the tableside polenta. Ragu is spread over polenta and served on a marble slab. It's perfect for sharing.
