(KMOV) -- Brewpubs and kid friendly typically don't go hand in hand, but at Alandale Brewing Co. they do.

At first glance it looks like your typical microbrewery.

The chocolate bundt cake topped with a caramel sauce, coffee ice cream and a shot of wheat ale.

Turn the corner and you can't help but notice the pint size bathrooms and little patrons enjoying chicken fingers.

Alandale is not just about the kids and beer.

One of their specialties is a Ruben that includes corned beef made in-house.

They're pork tenderloin is served with a bourbon glaze topped with an apricot chutney. Surprisingly the combination of the two was a tasteful compliment to the pork.

Chef Pete also like to incorporate beer in his recipes, and why shouldn't he, it is a brewery.

One of their top sellers is the chocolate bundt cake topped with a caramel sauce, coffee ice cream and a shot of wheat ale.

Head to Alandale Brewing Co. in Kirkwood where family friendly dining gets an unexpected twist.
