(KMOV) -- The Broadway Oyster Bar may draw a good crowd with its live music, but more customers are coming back for the food.

The bucket of steaming crawfish

Mardi Gras has come and gone, but at the Broadway Oyster Bar the New Orleans spirit lives year round.

The food has become a Cajun mainstay, something Chef Andy Wittmer takes very seriously.

One of his favorite New Orleans finds is the grilled gulf oysters.

Andy puts them on the grill and tops them with compound butter, and Parmesan cheese.

Another favorite is the bucket of steaming crawfish.

If you're looking for something different, try the alligator Philly.

The fresh gator is topped with grilled onions, peppers and provolone cheese.

The taste and texture is very similar to veal.

For dessert make sure you check out the mud pie, topped with coffee liquor, whipped cream and pecans.

It's a rich way to end your spicy, Cajun meal.
