The famous crem brulee
Chef and owner Ben Anderson describes his American cuisine as true comfort food.
At canoe, they pride themselves on using local ingredients like chicken served with a sauce laced with Schlafly pale ale. You might say this dish is intoxicating.
If you like pork, you really should try the boneless pork chop served on a potato pancake, red cabbage and topped with an onion relish.
For the heartier appetite, there's the elk. It's served with a butternut squash and plenty of root vegetables.
The best seller on the dessert menu is by far the crem brulee. Chef Anderson says that he has several customers who come in just for this dessert.
