Most restaurants work around some sort of theme.
But in Benton Park, there's a sandwich shop that takes "theme" to a whole different level.
Sauce magazine's Catherine Neville takes us for a ride on the blues highway.
You can certainly see the influence of both the music and the food at blues city deli.
Owner Vince Valenza made it a point to feature the staples from several blues cities.
For instance, Vince’s New Orleans muffaletta recipe actually came from central grocery in New Orleans.
For a taste of Memphis, there’s a pulled pork sandwich with Tennessee style sauce.
You can have it with or without the slaw on top.
Of course, out of Chicago, there’s the Chicago dog made with the authentic Vienna beef.
Topped with mustard, pickles, peppers, relish and celery salt, it's a taste of Chicago in Benton Park.
And speaking of Benton Park, try the Benton Park po-boy. It's their best seller.
It's three types of meat and provel cheese topped with a sweet red pepper sauce.
