(KMOV)-- Square One Brewery is a well-known brew pub that offers 12 house-brewed beers on draft and a range of great eats.

But what's making news here right now is their new distilled spirits. There are only 160 or so craft distillers in the US and square one is on the cutting edge of this new movement.

Square One makes three types of rum. The dark rum ages in wooden casks for three months. They also make a gin, which has a surprising number of aromatics in the recipe.

They're also trying their hand at making an agave spirit, which is basically tequila.

There are only two tequilas made in the US, and Square One's is one of them. Order it straight, or better yet, try it in a cocktail.

And if you want something a little lighter, try the orangecello, it's made using rum and the zest of blood oranges.

The spirits at Square One are putting St. Louis on the craft distilling map.
