(KMOV)-- Brew pubs are popping up all over St. Louis and on Jefferson in the city. Mattingly Brewing Co. isn’t just brewing beer, they're making great food to pair it with. Everything on the menu is beer friendly, even the salads. The blat is topped with four whole strips of crunchy bacon!

Wings are of course available, and these are huge, meaty wings smothered in traditional sauce. Sometimes beer is used in the cooking too, like with Mattingly's fish and chips. They use the golden ale in the batter.

Golden ale is just one of the many styles of beer that brewer Drew Huerter works on in the building's basement. Mattingly's styles range from stout to a Belgian white.

And of course, pizza is the perfect complement to beer and Mattingly's pizza is great. Toppings are unexpected, too, and one of the best pies is the Sicilian, with pesto and artichokes. It is best paired with a Belgian whit beer.
