Sauce on the Street found a place that's laid back, inexpensive, has a great beer selection and really tasty food. This may be your next hangout.

 

Walk into the Bleeding Deacon and you might think it's just a laid back south city bar, but take a look at their price conscious menu. It's full of fun twists on recognizable favorites.

 

Order a beer, and while you peruse the menu, munch on their sweet potato salsa.

 

The deacon is already well known for its meatloaf, well spiced and served with smoked mashed potatoes and green beans. And if you're in the mood for beef, another must try is the Black Angus butter burger. Chef Jackson Noon puts butter into the center of the patty.

 

Another hit sandwich is the curly dog topped with red bar-b-que sauce, onions and pickles.

 

Tuck into a booth at the Bleeding Deacon for some classic American comfort food.
