(KMOV) – A student was removed from a Kirkwood grade school after district employees reported several threats made by the student toward the school and other children.

According to police, staff at the Nipher Middle school notified the district’s resource officer that a student was reported to have made two verbal threats of gun violence.

The student allegedly made the threats on separate occasions against two fellow students and to the school, located at 700 South Kirkwood Road.

The threatened students reported the incidents to school officials.

An investigation performed by the school’s resource officer found no evidence that the student had taken the steps to act on the threats.

The family told authorities the student did not have access to any type of gun.

The student was removed from the school and transported to the St. Louis Family Courts juvenile detention facility.
