ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) – Officials say a water main break causing problems in the St. Louis Hills neighborhood has been fixed, though some homes should continue to boil their water as a precaution.

According to officials, crews had to remove a large oak tree before fixing the main on Jameison at Westway.

While water has been restored to every household and business, city officials said 21 homes without water on Monday and Tuesday should continue to boil it as a precaution until further contamination tests were completed.

Officials said the results were expected to be in by Wednesday afternoon and it would be determined after that if the precautionary boil advisory would be lifted.
