(KMOV) – Police are searching for a possible serial bank robbery suspect who is reportedly targeting banks inside area grocery stores.

Richmond Heights Police say a man held up the US Bank inside the Schnucks Grocery Store on Clayton Road Tuesday at 6:25 p.m.

Police said the suspect showed the teller a note demanding money and walked out of the store with an unknown amount of cash. He did not show a weapon, police said.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5’6 to 6’00”, thin build.

He was seen wearing a green long sleeved rugby-type shirt with a black and white cross design across the chest, tan jeans, tan shoes, and a blue ball cap with a red and white letter “F” on the front.

The man pictured in the surveillance footage resembles that of the suspect in a bank robbery that happened on Saturday at First Bank in Dierbergs on Eager Road in Brentwood.

Police say they are looking into both cases as being related at this time.  There is no vehicle information at this time.

Anyone with information that would help lead to the identity of the suspect please call the Richmond Heights Police Department Crime Hotline at 314-655-3555. Calls may be anonymous.
