2 men hospitalized after shooting in north St. Louis

ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) -- Police responded to a shooting on Wednesday night in the 5800 block of Ferris.

Police said two men in their 20s were at the corner of Hamilton and Ferris waiting for a friend.

The victims said the friend came running up to them yelling for them to run away. He said he was being chased.

Police said several shots were fired by an unknown gunman.

Police said two of the men were hit. One of the victims ran to a gas station at Goodfellow and Natural Bridge for help.

Police said the third male left the scene. Police have been unable to find him.

One victim was taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition. The other victim was in critical but stable condition as well.

According to police, the two victims said they were Job Corp students.
