Police identify victim killed in Jennings grocery store shooting; 2 suspects still at large

(KMOV.com) -- Police have identified the victim who was gunned down in Jennings on Friday night while unloading groceries.

The shooting happened in the 5400 block of Hamilton around 8 p.m.

Authorities confirmed that Anthony Sherrill, 38, was approached by two other men as he was unloading groceries from his vehicle.

Sherrill was able to run inside his residence, but was closely followed by the two suspects.

Police say the suspects shot Sherrill inside his home, then fled from the scene.

Sherrill suffered a shot in the chest and was transported to Barnes Jewish Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say they are searching for two suspects, but have not released any information on their identity.
