(KMOV.com) – O’Fallon police took a man into custody after they say he violated an order of protection against him requested by his ex-girlfriend.

According to court documents, Scott Walters, 42, repeatedly harassed his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend by repeatedly calling and texting them threats.

But Walters then took it one step further, setting up a false Craigslist account, where he posted his ex’s new boyfriend’s name. He then offered to give away belongings free to any customers.

After his arrest, Walters admitted that he was jealous of his ex-girlfriend’s new relationship and had trouble letting her go.

He is being held on $25,000 bond.
