(KMOV) – Several of our viewers’ homes were shaken by low-flying helicopters over the Granite City and Troy areas Thursday night.

Those low flying helicopters reportedly flew over in several rounds, and for some, without lights.

St. Louis County Police believe this is associated with military training exercises going on in the area. We’re told the U.S. Army is performing helicopter takeoff and landing drills.

News 4 will work overnight to find out why this is being done at night and causing concern for many residents.

Tune in to News 4 This Morning and check KMOV.com for the very latest.
