MAPLEWOOD, Mo (KMOV) -- Voters in Maplewood will get two ballots on Election Day when they decide on a controversial proposition for a new Quik Trip.

County elections officials say paperwork on Proposition Q was filed after their deadline.

Maplewood officials say election officials were slow in processing the paperwork.

Prop Q will be on a paper ballot while voting for mayor and city council will be done electronically.

City officials don’t think the split ballot will affect the vote on Prop Q which has divided voters in Maplewood.

Opponents don’t like the store being so close the Maplewood High School while supporters say the store will improve the traffic and generate sales tax revenue.
