(KMOV.com) – Lumiere Place Casino and its parent company, Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc. will donate a total of $500,000 to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department in to fund “hot spot” policing efforts in downtown St. Louis.
In December, the casino announced the major donations. The St. Louis Police Department will receive the donation in $100,000 increments over the next five years.
Vice President and General Manager of Lumiere Place, Jeff Babinski, presented the department with the donation at a board meeting on Wednesday.
Chief Sam Dotson says he plans to use the donation to fund hot spot policing tactics and safety initiatives in and around Downtown.
