Elementary school placed on lockdown due to road rage incident

Maryland Heights, Mo. (KMOV.com) – An elementary school in the Parkway School District was placed on lockdown for a short time on Wednesday afternoon.

Craig Elementary was placed on lockdown as school was letting out at the same time a nearby incident involving the Maryland Heights Police Department was happening.  According to authorities, police were responding to a road rage incident at that time.

School officials kept the students in the gymnasium as a precaution for nearly 30 minutes before releasing the children.
