(KMOV.com) – At least two people were injured when three vehicles collided on the Poplar Street Bridge Friday morning.
Captain Sutter with the St. Louis Fire Protection District said the accident happened around 3:45 a.m. in the westbound lanes, just before the Interstate 55 ramp.
According to reports, two of the vehicles involved suffered heavy damage.
Two people were transported by ambulance from the scene with non life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the accident has not been determined.
The westbound lanes on the bridge were closed while crews worked to clear the wreckage. All lanes have since reopened.
