Mother, 2 children killed in Union mobile home fire

(KMOV.com) -- Authorities are investigating a mobile home fire that left a mother and her two children dead in Union, Mo. late Friday night.

Union police and firefighters responded to 456 Independence Lot #1 in reference to a mobile home fire.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the mobile home fully engulfed in flames. After the fire was exinguished, an adult female and two children were found dead inside the residence.

The three victims have not been identified.

Investigators report the mobile home was the residence for a family of four: a 26-year-old man, a 24-year-old woman, a 6-year-old child, and a 1-year-old child.

The victims were taken to the St. Louis County Medical Examiner's Office, where an autopsy will be performed.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
