Ballwin woman killed, 3 others injured in overnight crash

SAUGET, Ill. (KMOV) -- Authorities say one woman was killed and two others were injured when they became lost on their way home to Ballwin, and collided with another vehicle in Sauget, Ill.

Emergency crews responded to a car accident on Yellow Brick Road around 3 a.m. Saturday.

Sauget Police report the women were headed home from Laclede's Landing when they became lost, and crossed the river into Illinois.

According to police, the driver attempted to make a U-turn, but instead turned into the path of an oncoming Jeep.

Brooke Bahmler, 24, died on the way to Touchette Hospital in Centerville. Her 22-year-old sister, Abigail, and Alexis Hoester, 23, were transported to SLU Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Sharon Frison, 34, was driving the Jeep at the time of the accident. She was treated at a local hospital and released.
